Cameron Farquhar, Calum Howarth and Liam Grant have announced their intention to step away from the Highland League for the foreseeable future.
The club respect the personal reasons of the trio and we wish them all the best in their future ambitions. The club would like to thank them on their great service during their time at Forres Mechanics and the door is always open whether they would like a return to their footballing careers.
Cammy Farquhar joined the club this season and quickly became a reliable pair of hands between the net for the Cans. Quickly establishing himself as Steven MacDonalds #1, his back to back performances against Buckie and Brechin were a hallmark of his quality.
Calum Howarth has had a previous spell at the club dating back to 2016 but he made his current permanent switch in the 23/24 season and has been a consistent figure in the Forres backline ever since. One of the strongest defenders Forres has seen in years and the occasional eye for goal to boot.
Liam Grant has been Mr Reliable for Steven MacDonald this season. Always willing to do what it took for the team becoming a top utility player. His goal against Strathspey this season was one to be remembered.
The club would once again like to wish the boys every success in their futures and make it clear that the door is always open if they wish to resume their time in the chocolate and gold.
