Forres left it late to grab a 91st minute equaliser against second-bottom Turriff when it looked as though it was going to be one of those days.
Forres could have been ahead within a minute had Lee Fraser managed to get on the end of Paul Brindle’s low cross into the box.
Lee Fraser went close to scoring again however he was inches away from scoring after the Turriff goalkeeper save Brindle’s shot.
The same player went close again when he dinked the ball over the ‘keeper but was denied on the line by a Turriff defender.
Turriff then came into the game and had a couple of opportunities before taking a shock lead right on half-time, the visitors took a shock lead when a ball in from the left-hand side wasn’t cleared and was struck home by Murray Thompson.
HT: 0 – 1
Luke Kinsella almost gave Turriff a 2-0 lead at the start of the second half however he was denied by a superb save from Stuart Knight.
Forres reacted to this and started to create more chances of their own, notably when Robbie Duncanson’s shot was cleared off the line on the hour mark.
With time running out it looked as though the Cans were not going to get an equaliser before Stuart Soane diverted Lee Fraser’s cross-cum-shot into the net from close range deep into injury-time.
There was still time for Forres to almost snatch a winner with Owen Paterson and Owen Loveland being denied by David Dey in the Turriff goal.
